Part-Time Victim Advocate Needed for Summit County
Summit County is currently recruiting for a part-time Victim Advocate. Bi-lingual, must be fluent Spanish- Speaking, Oral and Written.
Will be working less than 20 hours per week. Performs para-professional duties as required to reduce trauma to victims and witnesses of crime. Promotes trust and communication between victims and the Summit County Attorney’s Office, law enforcement agencies and other community agencies as the case proceeds through the criminal justice system. Ability to relate to diverse client populations with an understanding of cultural/ethnic issues, able to pass background investigation.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school and preferably pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Social Services or related field from an accredited college in which comparable knowledge was gained, or a college graduate with an Associate or Bachelor Degree in either discipline.
Salary $14.50 hr. Summit County is a drug free workplace conducting pre-employment and random drug testing. Applicants must submit a completed Summit County Application.
