Seasonal worker needed from June 1 - August 19, 2007
Food Services Director:
Plan weekly meal schedules that meet nutritional and budgetary requirements, as well as being enjoyable to campers and staff. Prepare and serve all meals for up to 100 people following public health and safety standards. Assist with cleanup following every meal. Maintain clean, organized and sanitary kitchen and dining hall. Order food supplies from distributors to ensure adequate food supplies for meals. Limit purchase of local food for emergencies only. Supervise kitchen assistants/assistant cooks. Stock and store food according to health department standards. Work with Camp Director to plan special meals, backpacking meals and/or camper-cooked meals. Help out with all camp activities and participate as a member of the camp staff team. Other duties as needed. Must be a Food Safety Manager registered with Wasatch County Health Department or WILLING to get registered. Previous experience as a cook for large groups of people. Knowledge of standards of food preparation, serving and kitchen procedures. Previous experience in nutritional meal planning and food ordering. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Enthusiasm, sense of humor, integrity, flexibility and patience. Model the company’s values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Positive attitude and ability to build a cohesive team. Ability to function in a rustic setting.
Salary: Food Service Director $500.00/week plus room and board. Must be over 21 years of age.
