PENSACOLA - The search for a missing airman stationed at Whiting Field is expanding this morning.

26 year-old John Alley has been missing since Friday. Right now volunteers are meeting at the Chapel for the Church of Latter Day Saints on Fox Run Road to coordinate a search effort. Friends and family members of Alley have also created a “Facebook” webpage…In hopes of getting national attention.
Second Lieutenant Alley never came home after work Friday afternoon. Early Saturday morning his family received a call from Pensacola Police. They found his car …Wrecked and abandoned on the corner of Scenic Highway and Summit Boulevard … His keys, wallet and cell phone still inside. Alley’s family and friends believe he may have been injured in an accident…
They ask anyone with information to contact the Pensacola Police Department at 435-1900.

We have been to The Three Amigos Mexican food restaurant few times now, and have to say it’s been great each time. The environment is clean, spacious, and somewhat thematic. The servers are friendly and efficient, the food is tasty and ample, and it’s kid-friendly overall. Read the rest of this entry »

We recently switched to Comcast from Qwest for both phone and Internet access services, only to discover some billing issues that Qwest sneaks into their agreements. Hopefully this information will help others beware the same situation. Our bottom line is that Qwest should be avoided and that Comcast has proven to be a great company. Read the rest of this entry »

We also had an incident. After that last BIG snow storm we decided we needed to dig our car out from in front of our house. The plows had completely snow blocked it from both directions. After a friendly neighbor helped us get it out we had it parked in the driveway to wipe off the excess snow before pulling into the garage. As I was getting into the drivers side door I noticed the rear passenger window behind the driver (the one that WAS facing the street) was completely shattered (still intact). Inspecting it more I discovered the damage had occurred from 4 small bullet holes. We called out an officer and filed a report knowing they couldn’t do anything we just wanted this neighborhood to have it documented. Our car had been out there ‘Snowed In’ for about a week, so we have no idea when it occurred. Our car had nothing in it, so we don’t feel this was someone trying to break into it. Please keep all eyes open and KNOW where your kids are! (our incident looked more like mischievousness).
ps yep this is the same car that had the ‘egging’ incident this last summer
